Every child’s story deserves to be heard. Through “Nurturing the Future” Citizen Journalism Competition, we invite you to become the voice that amplifies these stories – stories of hope, challenges, and resilience that shape our children’s present and future. Working with cameras, smartphones, and compassion, citizen journalists will document the realities of children’s rights in Indonesia, creating powerful stories that not only raise awareness but inspire concrete actions for change. This is more than a competition; it’s a movement to ensure every child’s right is recognized, protected, and celebrated through the lens of community storytelling.

Since 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child has been the global compass for protecting children’s fundamental rights. From education to protection, from health to participation, these rights are universal, indivisible, and non-negotiable. Yet, their stories often remain untold, their voices unheard. Through this competition, we seek citizen journalists who will shine a light on six crucial areas of children’s rights: education for all, protection from violence, health and nutrition, the right to play and recreation, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability – because every child’s future is intertwined with the health of our planet.
